Netplan offer unlimited downloads (literally) with no port throttling; however you'd have to sign up to a 12 month contract @ £35pm for a (up to) 8128/828 kbps connection.

How good are sky as a ISP I have sky+HD so it would probably be the best option I got offered the chance to join a few years ago when they stated but turned it down because they were to new for me to be willing to take the risk and I remember their used to be loads of complaints. Have they improved now?

Sky LLU has a good reputation. Check if it is available to you at http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange_search

I just moved from an unthrottled and unmetered service of UK Online (LLU) to XILO's Pro 16 Home deal for ADL2+ LLU connection. Migration went smooth and the connection is a bit more faster too.

As far as I know, XILO is advertised as unmetered and I don't think they throttle anything. So far I'm seeing everything running great. It's a faster and more responsive connection compared to UK Online.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the added bonus, that XILO is a 1-month contract service, not a 12-month trap. You're free to move to another ISP after your first month - if you're not happy.

I have seen netplan mentioned before so i emailed them and asked about the unlimited £35 pound plan and in return quote....

Thanks for your enquiry. Our ADSL is indeed 20:1 and runs at up to 8mb. The price for this is £25 per month, with a 1GB limit.

I looked at your website and could not fully understand the packages between.
Home, all have DL limits, and Pro no DL limits, but speed capped, e.g. 16Mb. Pro 24 is capped at 75GB, but the cheaper Pro 16 is uncapped?
Am I missing something. Why would I not simply choose Pro 16?

Home & office products use a different LLU Network to that of the pro(75gb capped) product , so it will depend if those isp's are present at your exchange or not,. the uncapped products use the c&w llu network and the other capped one uses tiscali wholesale i belive
