I want boradband, but want to pay as little as possible!

Hey, i am thinking about getting broad band but i dont really want to pay over £20 a month. Any one know any good deals? for london area SM5 4LJ.

sky broadband are cheap if you've got TV with them its £12.50 on its own its £15 and if take phone with them as well it becomes £7.50 you can also get virgin media cable the 10meg is £21 but you do0'nt have to have a phone line with a phone line its £13.50+£12.99 rental both virgin packages with offer of half price for 6 months.

Some questions:

Why do you not want to pay more than 66 pence per day for broadband Internet access?

That's equivalent to seven minutes salary at minimum wage. Will you use the Internet for less than seven minutes a day?

What do you think an ISP can realistically provide in exchange for that pittance?

Well on the Doll for one, and i do not have TV or a land line. only pay as you go mobile

For any DSL services you will pay for the landline, Plusnet can do the two for £6.49 + £11.99 a month.

Virgin Media can provide cable without a telephone line, but cheapest they do is £21 a month

TalkTalk can go a little cheaper with a 12 month offer £3.49 for BB then £12.30 for the line, the £3.49 rising to £6.49 after 12 months.

Otherwise consider a payg/contract mobile broadband dongle £10 to £15 a month, but the usage allowances are a lot lower than what the landline options can offer.

SM5 Sutton/Carshalton are all Market 3 exchanges in the area

But yes for other parts of the country, exchange market definition will affect pricing, as will whether LLU is available, e.g. TT charge £15 a month extra for their inferior IPStream service.

Hi, don�t use a mobile phone for broadband then! Use a land line for much cheaper Broadband connection. wink

Nonsense !
By the time you pay landline rental, it works more expensive the mobile BB,
specially if you not at market 3 exchange.

First step is to find out which mobile provider has a good G3 signal in your house / area.
(Without that Mobile BB is just unusable).
Then look at what they offer. Unfortunately PAYG deals expire whether you use them or not,
so more then likely you will need Pay Monthly deal.
