Cheap "TalkTalk" based LLU

Hi all,

I have a friend who is currently on Sky's Connect product (£17/m) as he is on an exchange with no LLU, as they have only 2467 properties.

However I noticed on SamKnows.com over the weekend, that TalkTalk have just unbundled his exchange! (shock)!

So now I'm wondering:
a) Is this correct info?
b) What other ISPs use TalkTalk Business wholesale ??

I'm looking for an ISP that gives around 40gig a month, but charges less than £17/m basically, and this is without changing the phone line contract. If changing the phone line contract was possible, then TalkTalk's own service could be the cheapest.

You could check if it is correct by seeing what TT's website has to say about his phone number.

Re wholesalers, I believe this vivaciti package is TTBW, and I believe xilo do one as well, but I don't think it is on their website yet. Maybe they don't.

I'm sure I have seen a couple of others, but at the moment their names escape me. I don't think there are any at £17 though.

Thanks - I got that feeling too. To save money it could be TalkTalk MPF - but that Vivaciti deal looks quite good for someone else I know!

The TT website warns that if you input the number; they will call you, so I need to ensure my mate is aware this can happen first. I'll try and get the line owner to agree in a change of provider... might take a month or two

(It'll show you what is possible/speeds but not something we can offer, we don't do SMPF on that, only MPF)

Whilst a good idea, finding a takeaway is hard (its a very small place).

Matt's checker worked however - 14meg download Talk Surf is available, but pricing starts at £19.99 for 50gb, which is higher than budget.

Sounds like a "business opportunity" for you. All you have to decide on is the ethnicity of the offerings and download a few menus.

Sorry about that Martin - you were one of the ones I couldn't bring to mind.

Our Family Value broadband packages come with an inclusive monthly peak usage allowance.

Is that worded incorrectly Martin, or is there an unmetered off-peak period. If there is, either it's time I went to bed, or it isn't obvious .
