Switching to BT Broadband. What can I expect?

I have come to the end of my tether with Plusnet and so I'm switching my Broadband service to BT. I am Ordering the 'Unlimited Broadband and Calls' package.

I have a few questions...

1 - What speeds are you guys getting on BT's up to 20 meg or 8 meg packages?
2 - How is reliability, is BT down often?
3 - Is it likely that I will get a discount on that package as I already have Anytime calls with BT?
4 - What is the wireless like on the HomeHub 3 and is it Wireless 'N' Technology?
5 - How long do you reckon a transfer of just Broadband from Plusnet to BT is likely to take?

1, without your down attenuation who knows what speed you will get. Attenuation figure and Sam knows site will help.
2, For me one day in six years that I have noticed!

What is your current speed according to SpeedTest.Net?

I cant see how that will help you, As its unlikely we are in the same area, on the same exchange with the same attenuation, with the same line conditions and same setup. Then still it could be very different.

If you are unwilling to put up your current stats, then sam knows will point you, Kitz will tell and the broadband map here will guide you.

I know, I'm just interested in what other BT users get.

It very rarely changes, Attenuation of 41 sync at 7168, profile of 6mbps, speed tests very rarely drops below 5mbps whatever time of day.

I get better sync from the 2wire, which will get me 6.5 mbps profile, however i like the using the HH2 due to hub phone as I'm too tight to buy a new phone or have wires everywehere using both.

Thanks for that. The upload speed of 0.38 is exactly the same as mine, it never changes with my connection. Just a shame my speed is 3.21meg.

Does anyone else have any answers?

You would get higher upload on LLU or 21cn. What does Sam knows site say about your exchange
