TalkTalk non-LLU

[link to this post]

Is it still offered, now that they have added so many new exchanges?

I've just been hunting around on their website and can't find a mention of it. A few weeks ago it was there.

Unless I'm having one of my "senior moments" blush.

Couldn't spot it.

Last finanicals if I recall showed them still having customers, but they may not be advertising its availability now.

The LLU coverage may be large enough now that they can say they offer National coverage without incurring wrath/wimper of the ASA

It is still covered on TT website: The small print/TalkTalk Broadband & Phone of:
Our broadband packages are subject to availability in your area and this covers 85% of UK households. If your home cannot be connected to the broadband service supplied with this package, you may still be able to get an alternative broadband service from TalkTalk at £15.32 extra per month.
Rather dear!

Not that I'd recommend it due to congestion issues.

Orange probably isn't a too bad bet for unlimited market 1 non-llu exchanges

That wasn't the query! It was whether the info about the non-LLU option appears on TT site.

Whether anyone (not me!) should ever take it up is a horse of a different colour (prob not Orange wink).

Ah, got it now.

As it was under the TT Plus bold heading I didn't see it before starting this thread. It should have a new Heading to separate it from TT Plus.

Not the way I read English.

I can only see one occurrence and that doesn't even have a blank line to distinguish it from the Terms and Pricing blurb. Nor does the pricing link in that paragraph yield any mention of it.

In any case the whole section is badly titled as it implies it is only about bundles. I suppose that means you can't even have BT Wholesale broadband off them without TT line rental frown.

Anyway, my main point is that quite recently it was clearly visible and gave the allowance figure. Which is what I was looking for in the first place. A footnote found by pressing a down arrow inside a footnote, with completely inadequate information to compare with other providers, only available on one page, doesn't to me really represent "presence" on the website.

I just meant if you just mosey around the site and click on Broadband & Phone, Essentials package and Plus package tabs in succession and then open up that "TalkTalk Broadband & Phone" small print, you will see the statement I quoted in context of the particular package(s) you've got your peepers on.

EDIT: I only take responsibility for discovering what you couldn't find; not for the semantics and English of such discovery wink

Yes, I know I'm quibbling now, but the fact remains it has become a very much a hidden item. It isn't even clear what the "you may still be able to get an alternative broadband service from TalkTalk at £15.32 extra per month" means. Additional to what? TT Essentials, TT Plus, (the two headings it comes under), or TT Phone? Which itself I doubt will be the same rental and call charges as the LLU one.

"May still be able to ..."? That allows for the half-dozen exchanges that have restricted ISP access no doubt. Hah!
