ADSL1 / Market 1 Unlimited Providor

Looking to migrate from Xilo to an unlimited provider. Although Xilo have been great, I simply can't afford high GB packages.

BE Value looks the best option, less that what I am paying at the moment but truly unlimited and no shaping.

Will I see a noticeable change in service switching over? Is Be BT wholesale decent?

I need broadband without line rental, as I have already signed a separate line rental contract.

Line speed is 1.3mb

BE does not serve Market 1 exchanges; they are LLU only. Their sister co. O2 does but their O2 Access ADSL Max package is not to be recommended.

Look at Plusnet or John Lewis who resale Plusnet with some extra benefits. However you must rent your phone line from JLP too.

Unfortunately I can only do broadband only deals

Is post office broadband okay? Cant seem to find anything on traffic shaping with them.

Sadly, you won't find a truly unlimited ISP on a BT-only exchange.

Bandwidth over BT's network costs money and isn't as cheap as LLU options.

TalkTalk Business offer Unlimited Broadband on ADSL. I am on it at the moment without Phone
However, due to speed issues I am moving to Freeola who have Unlimited from 7PM to 7AM. and 40gb during day.
As only 1 month contract with Freeola I can at least check if talktalk or line is problem.
My neighbour gets 6mb from Vodaphone. I get 0.8mb at night with download of 22Kps

If you want unlimited BT are probably the best
They have no limit or fair usage. They did have fair use at 300gb but that was removed so there's now no upper limit
You won't find a totally unlimited & unshaped ISP on market 1
BT isn't bad on market 1. Probably the cheapest actual unlimited ISP
Post office have fair use of 100gb

BT can offer you broadband only if you call them. The package isn't shown on the website

Bt do traffic shape peer to peer at peak hours.

And that's the problem. It's not truly unlimited because speed issues normally mean capacity problems and a common sign of attempting to offer unlimited on a product that is billed on a capacity charged model.

But there are some that are unlimited from 7 00pm and all weekends which is nearly as good as unlimited, especially with no contract tie-in.

have you looked at seeing if you can alter your download habits to something like an off-peak time? if so the options open up a bit more, as there are quite a few packages that will allow unlimited off-peak, I am also thinking that Uno/Xilo have some packages with unlimited off-peak.
