I've been with Xilo for several years and although I'm very happy with their service they are not the cheapest (& I can't get their best deals on my exchange - ESBUR) so I'm considering moving elsewhere. There are 2 LLU providers on my exchange: Talk Talk who I wouldn't touch with a bargepole after the horror stories I've heard about them; and Sky - I'm still in contract for my BT phone line and anyway I'm loathe to give Maxwell even more of my money to further his plans for World Domination.
I've looked around and Freeola seem to offer the best deal for my circumstances. I believe that they are an Entanet reseller but their products are slightly different to other Entanet resellers. Their Family 40Gb package is almost identical to the product I'm on at present but it's £8 per month cheaper. Has anyone any experience or knowledge of them? I'm not interested in any of their other services or extras (even the "free" ones) - I'm just considering them as an ISP.
Or, can anyone recommend anyone else?
I'm looking for:
ADSL2+
Either unlimited download/upload or 40-50Gb Monthly allowance "peak rate" with unlimited during "off peak" - which I consider to be 8 to 12 hours overnight Mon-Fri and all weekend (this rules out Plusnet)
No port throttling or traffic shaping
No blocking of websites/services (other than those ordered by a court)
No PHORM or any other kind of spying
Payment by bank Direct Debit - No CCA on a card
Preferably a static IP address
If they supply a router, that they also supply the sign on details to access the router's configuration page (which Sky don't)
Preferably no inward migration fee
Less than £28 per month inc vat
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Wouldn't Xilo Pro24 fit the bill?
Think I read this is now unlimited off peak and is available on TalkTalk enabled exchanges.

That is the only one of Xilo's "Pro" packages that I could get, but it would cost me £48 (? +vat) to change.
Thanks

I have recently switched to Freeola. So far their customer service is all I had hoped it might be after reading reports from nothing but happy customers.
Any questions put in via a ticket are usually answered very competently within a few minutes.
I am finding good speed and lower pings, which may well be due to low contention rates. I am on the 40Gb package, which does not seem a lot, but the service is un-metered from 7.00 pm and all weekend, so more than enough for me. It is a nice change not to have to sit up till midnight to download or watch iPlayer to keep within the allowance. The free hosting, vast selection of email addresses and no contract tie-in make them worth every penny in my book, though I realize their offerings may not suit everyone. I have them paired with no tie-in Zen Business phone.

I'm loathe to give Maxwell even more of my money to further his plans for World Domination. Maxwell? Robert Maxwell is dead (unless you know something different); long live Rupert Murdoch!

I checked your website (amongst others) before posting my question. According to your signup page I could get these packages:-
Max Allowance - offering usage caps of 1GB to 180GB
Premium ADSL2+ - offering a 50GB CAP
ADSL2+ 100GB FUP - offering a 100GB FUP
ADSL2+ LLU 100GB FUP - offers a 100GB FUP on LLU
- none of which sound like the package you mentioned.

Customer is not starting a new connection but a migration, and that is free.

ADSL2+ LLU 100GB FUP - offers a 100GB FUP on LLU
That is the one although I am not sure why it is still showing the 100GB FUP, I am sure that was removed some time ago, it may be a recent restore overwrote the new text, but I can confirm there is not a 100GB FUP

Hi, I have been told that the issue has now been fixed and they should now correctly show the right details.

As a footnote, I should add i have not experienced any throttling at anytime of day. Happily streaming Sky F1 practice from vipbox at the moment.

Hi
I too was with Xilo (who are great) but struggled with off peak times and downloads, I also moved to Freeola and I am happy here.
