Had a lot of disconnection and "reset your router" issues - don't know whether that is due to the D link or condition of the phoneline. Any advice gratefully received!
Changing ISP rarely fixes that, though it can. It is always better to try to get such issues fixed first, even if you want to change ISP anyway.
The first thing we need is the router stats.

Having the same provider for phone and broadband makes no sense to me unless it is either compulsory by your overwhelmingly preferred choice for one of them, or you rate the tiny extra convenience of a combined bill above the freedom to pick the best option for you for each service - something which can change quite suddenly.
