Is Enta/UKSFN Still Fast? How can I find out?

I've been with Enta for five years or so. It's been getting slower and slower over the years with a lot of latency now on many websites I visit. I don't know whether this is an issue with Entanet, or whether there is a bottleneck somewhere else (like local loop congestion). I certainly can get response from these websites much quicker when I am elsewhere, so it is not the websites that are getting slower.

How do I figure-out where my traffic is getting slowed down? There is no point in changing from Entanet unless I know that someone else will be quicker.

Is there a piece of software that I can use that will test this at all? I'm stuck in the sticks so only have ADSL 2. The speed testers still say that I have a speed about 7Mb/sec which has been the same for all the time I've been with Enta.

For elimination purposes try this and see what it says/suggests about your exchange.

Have you raised this as a support issue with UKFSN?
What are the results of a speedtest?

Thanks - it says there are no capacity issues with the exchange and haven't been in the most recent tests that I could see online. Other information is below. I live about 1/2 mile from the exchange.

Run a BT based speed test as well, this will give a little more information, also if you cannot get hold of anyone from UKFSN then speak with Enta support direct as they may be able to help.

I would be almost certain you aren't on ADSL2, (I think you mean ADSL2+ anyway), as your exchange is not WBC-enabled.
