ISP With Static

[link to this post]

What are my best options for a ISP with a static
I was with O2 and UKFSN before that and had not realised some ISP's didnt give out statics.
I have got myself a socks5 with a static as a temp mesure but its slow ( when connecting to work FTP thats locked to my IP )
I have a second line that I can use to get another ISP
I surpose I need in excess of 300gb

Whats my options ?

PN Static IP for £5, I think, one-off fee. Other ISPs, and they are v. few, charge monthly.

1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU => 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC

Yes - £5. It isn't available during the original broadband ordering process, but the customer can trigger it through their Member Centre (Control Panel) as soon as they are live on PlusNet, and it takes effect on their next reconnection. In effect, immediately.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 51.8/16.8Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

There are still some of us that don't charge for a static IP, to be charged for a single IP is somewhat a disgrace!

On Non LLU insignificant when taken into context with broadband monthly cost comparison

I hope you are summarising there smile. The £19.99 is after the initial 3 months half price, and there is the line rental to add as well. Plus there are quite a few things that are free on BT phone that are charged on PlusNet.

Full price list. Very comprehensive so be careful how you read it, as VOIP prices are in there as well, and legacy products.

No throttling as such but there is traffic management. However the traffic management is designed to make sure gaming and VOIP get sufficient bandwidth when things get busy, on the network as a whole and on each user's own line. See this description.

Perhaps instead of calling other ISP's decision to charge a small one off admin fee for people wishing to change to fixed IP you could address some of your own shortcomings: http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/unhappiness/t/42558... I'm sure you would not dispute that failing to comply with OFCOM regulations really is a disgrace!
