ADSL on a tight budget

I'll shortly be moving onto Job Seekers Allowance which will not stretch to pay my Virgin Media bill - 120Mb & XL TV so I need to drastically reduce my costs. LLU is available and I used to get around 15Mb on Be before an intermittant problem with my aluminium cabled line caused me to switch to VM.
I'm looking at TalkTalk SimplyBroadband with a TalkTalk YouView box off Ebay to pad out my TV. Any other suggestions?

If you have been a virgin customer for a few years explain situation and they might price match with a basic broadband service for a few months or year

Particularly if this is hopefully a temporary thing
