I have been with Demon since the old Dial-up days. I currently have BB, but with 8 fixed IP addresses. As Demon can STILL not give any sort of date for a FTTC product I feel the need to move.
But this is where the problem arises. I need a FTTC product that will still offer me at least 8 fixed IP addresses. I don't run a business from home, but host a few servers for local small charities.
BT will only offer be a full-blown business package.
PlusNet on-line chat says they do not have a suitable package.
I won't touch TalkTalk or Sky
So does anyone have any suggestions of who I should look at?
Thanks for any advice.
Simon

What usage allowance do you need?
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 59.4/14.4Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

I currently have unlimnited, but traffic is not that high. I don't steam much in the way of video. Upstream speed is more important than download limits.

So, how much do you need?

Usage of 20Gb a month would be reasonable.

I suspect running servers, even for charities, would fall into most ISPs definition of business I'm afraid. Saying that, have you tried Zen as they might do this on theirs? You also have to consider that public IP Address space is at a premium and therefore companies may well only be providing them for business packages in order to ration a finite resource.

Zen Fibre 1 looks to match you pretty well then: http://www.zen.co.uk/home-office/broadband/fibre-opt...
But do check they are OK with you running "charity" related servers on the connection.

Plusnet business + block of static IP's, not sure what the cost for the IP's is but you can always ask.
http://www.plus.net/business/broadband/fibre-optic/
plusnet 4/11/2003 -> 4/3/2009 512Kb-2Mb
O2 Standard LLU 4/3/2009 -> 23/6/2009 ~3Mb O2 Access 13/7/2009 -> 22/6/2010 ~8Mb
plusnet 22/6/2010 -> ?? ~8MB
