Moving to new flat - no phone number?

Hullo all,

An ex-Be refugee here who's moving to a new flat in late April. As a Be user, I'd appreciate a bit of quality, so was looking at perhaps XILO or Plus.net.

However all I have to go on at the moment is an address and no telephone number which makes things a little tricky in determining what I can get.

As a result, I wanted to ask:-
*) Can BT or ISPs detect what the said property has on their systems?
*) In the event I go with LLU, is it still the case that you'd need to wait several weeks for Openreach to sort out your line? :/

I'm open to the option of FTTC but I seem to recall reading somewhere that FTTC isn't always available to block of flats? (even if the address checker claims I can have FTTC). But if I go with FTTC, it will definitely have to be a 12 months contract as renting.

Virgin isn't an option, not cabled.

New telephone lines no matter if WLR or full LLU are not next day unless you pay the extra, so yes may be a couple of weeks

If full address is showing FTTC then you can order it, fears about flats is irrelevant in your case.

Sorry, I should've been clearer.

I don't have the phone number for the flat yet so its entirely possible there IS A phone line in that flat. Can BT or any LLU companies look up the needed info in order for me to find out what's available to me.

Yes they can, with the full address, we would be able to see if there is a phone line there at the moment or if there was one there that could be restarted.
