Origin or Plusnet broadband

Im moving from Sky fibre and can't decide between Origin and Plusnet. I am angling towards Origin as they are a smaller company then there is Plusnet which is a much bigger company. My son has just gone to Plusnet, he had a few problems as they were moving into a new flat, when trying to get hold of them you could be on hold for up to one and a half hours...... Prices are very similar £18.49 and £19.99. Any comments would be appreciated.

I would avoid both, unless origin have their llu kit in your exchange but their footprint is quite small

I wouldn't be surprised if they still use plusnets shadow IP profile and possibly their traffic prioritising and filtering /web blocking, too, In which case Origin will just handle billing and CS , hope they don't have to provision via Plusnet as well

Give Origin CS a phone and see how long they take to answer, then ask them what the upload speeds are on their two Fibre BB packages so you can compare to Plusnet's two different upload speeds.

I can't get fibre so my PN connection is ADSL but it's fine and solid, I can only get 3Meg being so far away from the 20CN exchange.
I've had a couple of billing issues the last couple of months after renewing my contract, they were sorted quite promptly so hopefully it will not happen again.
