Looking for recommendations for plain ADSL no calls included on a monthly basis.
Have found SSE so far, any other suggestions?
Thanks

Have gone with PULSE8.
Will let you know if ok in a couple of weeks, when connected.

Great.
Several people here use them, mainly for the FTTC service.

There is Plusnet which may be reasonable if you are not connected to a high cost exchange. OTOH Vodafone FTTC might be cheaper and viable if your line to the cabinet is not to long. John Lewis sell a rebranded version of Plusnet which is cheaper than Plusnet at the Plusnet high cost exchanges.

Nothing more than a white label reseller - they haven't even done much to disguise the site from the original one.
EoFTTC looks a good deal mind!

As mentioned, I have now gone with PULSE8, I wanted a monthly plan, NO CONTRACT.
As for FTTC, .... in my dreams, I am at the end of a 6Km "Wet string & Aluminium" EO line.
|
|
If your line is wet string you should have gone to AAISP!

As I will be on a pay monthly no contract connection, will be free to change anytime.
As far as the line is concerned, I have had O.R. to attend multiple times.
Pairs have been swapped to no avail.
Similar to many of my neighbours.
I am concerned that they may deem the line as unfit for broadband.
Also 4G can be very poor at times.
Have attempted for a Virgin Cable install, but after nearly 5 yrs, they have stated it will be not economically viable.

I expect you didn't follow jelv's link. You should. It's "interesting", but not in the way you'd think .

Yep, I did look at it, better speeds than my line.
