What FTTP ISP

[link to this post]

Does anyone have a good list of trusted ISP's that are always worthy of checking out when looking at switching? I know their prices and offers will vary from week to week so happy to do the legwork when the time arrives just need a list to work down.

I'll give my vote for Zen. I started with ADSL in 2016, migrated to FTTC, finally Full Fibre 900/900 via CityFibre last December. Also moved my phone from copper to DV.
No issues in these last 7 years. One minor 2-day glitch in the DV setup, where someone in admin forgot to transfer the phone from OpenReach. Speeds are consistently 850/850+, often 920-ish

I am on Aquiss who have been good so far. Andrews and Arnolds have a very good reputation.

Thanks, I've added Aquiss to my list, I like the fact that you know the cost for the full 12 month contract, no surprises with Aquiss.

I was with plusnet for almost 9 years, and they ok, but what do you mean by trusted? At the end of the day an ISP is a business and all they want is your money. You also have to look at what you want from an ISP, how much you want to pay, if you want to support one of the smaller ones that are more expensive or go from one of the larger ones that are cheaper.

Trusted may not be the right word, what I was trying to say is, not got a bad reputation for customer service or a bad network. I have added Plusnet to my list.

Bear in mind, that like their parent company BT, Plusnet will have an annual price rise of CPI+3.9% during your contract.

Good point will try to factor that in, thank you.
