Recommendations for new house

I'll be moving house soon and my new place will only have openreach fttc I believe. I was thinking of going with Zen but they really seem to be going downhill lately with several bad outages. Any recommendations for reasonably priced ISPs that have good uptime and support openreach?

What do you consider "reasonably" priced, how long a contract are you after, are you looking for support from the ISP or are you confident with most things technical?

I have used Aquiss before, and am now with EE (as I got a deal with them) and both have worked fine. Both also don't insist on the use of the router.

A lot depends on what you actually want. You have told us:

• via Openreach
• Reasonable price
• Good uptime

But there is more to it than that

• Do you want the ISP to supply a land line or will you sort out a VoIP connection for yourself or do you not want a landline?
• Do yo want a router and wireless access points supplied or would you want to bring your own?
• Are you OK with CGNAT or do you want a public IP address? Would dynamic public be OK or must it be static public?
• Are you running servers facing the public internet and if do do you require a /30 or any other size block?
• Do you want IPv6?
• Do you have any preference between PPPoE and DHCP connection?

I could recommend or suggest, but it might not be that useful if your requirements are too dissimilar from mine.

Are you sure that you can't have FTTP?

I have been a Plusnet customer for about 10 years. I was recently upgraded from FTTC to FTTP. There are forums where you can get help if you don't want to call them. They supply a router, but I use my own, The router has to login using PPPoE.
