Sky doesn't throttle their customers at all
I was under the impression they did on the BTW connect product.
Regarding Entanet not advising customers/resellers about the ALT. I remember this. I was annoyed at the time, as were other users & resellers. Enta said they had to test the equipment under real load conditions and that letting the cat out of the bag may have put this plan into jeopardy. You know what, I think it was quite a valid point and the ALT turned out to be a good thing, not a bad thing like a lot of us feared.
In any case right or wrong, I think I could forgive Enta this one communication blip. They have to be about the most open ISP there is in regard to the performance/capacity of their network. Did BT et al give advance warning of their throttling plans?
The "Fan Boy" tag you are slapping on posters is getting a bit tiresome incidentally. It does not take a genius to figure out ISPs tend to have "fan boys" when they are good. I remember when Plusnet was
the fan boy ISP. The fan boys soon stopped praising them when they were no longer a good ISP. I have no doubt if Entanet ever turn bad a similar thing will happen. I certainly wouldn't praise an ISP if there was no good reason to do so, and I'm sure I wouldn't be alone.
