Is there something wrong or am i being fussy

I seem to have a 1-2sec lag when loading sites or send receive emails...

It used to be load outlook,send receive and right away it'd get emails but now its finding host 2sec delay then it gets it. Same with websites looking up www. , waiting for www then it gets the site but it isnt instant not like it used to be. Is it because i used to be on 300k/bs downloads and now its in the 3day profile after fixing a corroded wire my speeds are 100kb/s?

how many emails are saved in outlook/online - the more there is the longer it can take in my experience - also depends on the server (assuming I'm understanding your post )

As to the www. - which program, and it could be mtu related maybe or poor exchange issues - what the pings tracerts like etc. Being that you say profile is stuffed up it could be max related - I had some similar, dropped mtu to 1430 seems to have cured most of the issues

Id play with the mtu then, some are saying 1474/1472 is good too, there used to be a setting at 1454 once to - have a play every line is different

Are your DNS servers laggy?
Try a nslookup in a dos window and see what kind of response time you are getting. If slow try some other DNS servers.

I did tcp optimized tweaking didnt really do alot with the response but my speeds have gone up a little from 118 to 122kb/s after. Still not a great deal , but may help more with the new 350kb/s speeds after the 3day bras profile wait

Thanks for the mention of the DNS servers i just did a dns lookup and it timed out and failed, checked my router and i did a telnet cleared the default dns servers.

No lag all gone now
