Safari- New browser for Windows users

As the title states, Apple have released their 'Safari' browser for use with windows.

As reported by the BBC News site.

A worthwhile toy to play with?

Just downloaded it.

Its really good, like the interface, and its very quick.

There are some bugs in relation to performance, but it is a beta so they are expected.

I am using it now, as have been said it is very quick. but there are problems. I find that sometimes I click on a link and I get the following error

Also just installed it but too early for more comment as yet.

Yeah, my side buttons on my IntelliMouse do not work either, which is a shame as I like this feature in IE.

The other problem I have with Safari is the fonts, even after changing them, they still look strange, and also there are some rendering issues, but like I said, its a Beta.

I wonder if I can change my side buttons on my Logitech mouse to simulate key presses. I will have to look.

Yeah I liked it already from supporting the missus's G4 so jumped at the chance to use it.

Have discovered the main caveat for home use being the 4/5th mouse buttons not working as has been commented already, but my biggest bugbear is that I cant use it at work because the proxies button is greyed out all the time and I cant find a way round it I am assuming this aspect isnt yet finished with it being a beta but even so, come on Apple get it sorted out.....

Im thinking of giving this a try. Does one need to download the plug-ins?

You might want to be aware that El Reg is reporting security issues in Safari.

It IS a beta version
