Roxio media creator 9 ..error installing..

I payed and downloaded Roxio media creator 9 last night but i am having some real difficulties trying to get it to install.

It downloaded in 2 parts and tried to install the first part as soon as it was downloaded,i noticed Kaspersky internet security trying to block it out as a threat and i could never find the first part again.

After the second part downloaded to the desktop [downloads] i tried to install this but it said i neded to install the first part ,i could not find were this had gone as it should have been with the other part.

After searching for about 1 hour i opened Kaspersky only to find it had quarantined the file,after telling it to put it back in the download file and trying to install it fails in the rozio wizard section everytime..Something along the lines as wizard set up has been interrupted please try again another time.

I have turned of Kaspersky and the windows firewall after looking at the Roxio site which suggested to do so before installing.

But i did not do this originally so may be something happened.

Can you not re-download the files incase they have been corrupted?

Done that but it still refuses to install,just get message Roxio media installer was interrupted please try again later.

It extracts all the files in the self extractor but as soon as it try to install i get the same message over and over again.

I have turned of the windows firewall and Kaspersky Internet security so is there anything else that i need to disable on this pc using windows vista.

try this:

this worked for me:

Open My Computer (or Computer for Vista users) from your Start menu.

Go to C: drive -> Windows folder -> System32 folder.

Look for a file called dsetup.dll in the System32 folder.

Rename the file to "dsetupOLD.dll" or delete the file.

Reinstall Creator 2009 and follow the on-screen instructions."

control panel users turn user account controls off and then try the install again it should work.

Sounds like you have a partial install thats why the installer will not launch again. You will need to remove all traces of the previous attempt to install the software then try again. This may help you.
