DVD regions in Vista Home Premium

Hi Folks,

Thought I'd follow up a question I posted in the hardware section as it's raised another question regarding the O/S.

Can anyone tell me if Vista Home Premium will be region specific with regard to DVD's? My collection includes some region 1 (USA) discs as well as region 2 (UK).

of course, most software just go by the drives firmware. you can flash the drive with regionfree firmware (if available) or use a player like vlc i reccomend anydvd though as it has a lot of very useful options and you also mentioned having a blu-ray drive, i dont know of any other software that can do what anydvdhd does for blu-ray/hddvd movies
