twonkymedia service has stopped working..

After spending the best part of 2 weeks on and of trying to sort out why this pc had a error..[Microsoft software licenising service has stopped working] and finally finding a fix by going into the cmd and running a few fixes.

After this worked i now have another on restart which reads.

Twonkymedia service has stopped working.

I give up and hate everything vista....Never had a single problem with windows xp

Just out of interest what is Twonky media service anyway and what does it do regarding this pc.

I never installed it and it looks like some sort of playstation 3 media steaming software from the what i have seen looking for the cure.

Suppose i shoould have said what is it doing on my pc and what has it got to do with Microsoft warning that this program Twonky is not working.

How did it become installed on my pc in the first place,what i did do is delete google chrome and a program called orb that was installed by my nokia disk that came with my new mobile.

For some reason or another Kaspersky virus software i have running views this and itunes as extremly dangerous.

I am not deleting itunes as its one of the programs i use most for my mp3 and my ipod touch.

Now orb is something i dont use so thats gone,having deleted both these programs and getting the twonky media has stopped working caused this problem.

Are they related in anyway.????

I use Orb, and there is no sign of Twonky on my machine..

twonky media is something installed by your nokia phone i think...i just installed the software for my nokia n97 and im having the same error

Twonky is media streaming and I am surprised it is on there without you knowing about it.
