Odd Firefox problem - broken rendering

[link to this post]

Help! Firefox is borked.

Its as though FF is displaying webpages in text mode, sort of.

If I come here, the entire front page is being displayed in some sort of text mode. If I goto to another site, the front page renders ok, with graphics, but when I enter the site 90% of it is text, with just the odd graphic.

Reinstalling Firefox does not resolve the problem...! I've seen this once before, and it just went away. No obvious clues on the web either, but I'm the first to admit I get frustrated trying to tailor google searches beyond the obvious (like firefox rendering problem or issue)

(IE6 works fine. IE7 and 8 are not options!)

Firewall?

Tools > Options > content > show images (also check exceptions).

What extensions do you have installed?

Which version of Firefox?
