view pictures on dvd plyer

is there any good free software that i can transfer my pictures from the computer to cd disc then play them back on a dvd player

If you don't want anything special just drag and drop the pictures on to the CD icon and bung the written CD into your DVD player. That may be enough.

Try Picasa. Finds ever photo on your computer, has simple one click editing and can burn selected photos and more.

Totally free.

The feature I like is that you can mess about with the image but it does not change the original on your computer plus whatever edits you do like cropping, you can always undo in Picasa.

many thanks how do i burn the to disc using picasa

Me bad it seems. Not used it to burn but seeing as you can make a movie with it i assumed it had a tab to burn, it does not...as I said, me bad.

Not sure if you have Windows Movie Maker but that has the facility to import photos and the facility to burn CD and Dvds. I have used it to make family vids and added music and titles so it may well offer that option for photos or if not use Picasa (great simple utility I reckon) and export that file to a folder and then import and burn with Movie Maker.

As was suggested a simple drag and drop to the CD should also work.
