I'm thinking of buiding a new system with Vista Ultimate 64Bit OEM installed on it.
How much memory will it see? I'm thinking of putting at least 4Gb in.
more than you could ever put into a none server motherboard thats for sure
--EDIT--
Actualy it would depend on the version too.
Vista x64 Home Basic: 8GB
Vista x64 Home Premium: 16GB
Vista x64 Business, Enterprise, Ultimate: 128GB
You'll be limited by what the motherboard can handle long before you reach the OS limitations.
4GB is still the sweetspot for general home users. When SSD's come down in price and go mainstream, consider them instead of going more than 4GB RAM, they will have a far greater impact on system performance than any increase in RAM beyond 4GB*
