Cheers for the reply, that is most helpful. Think I will just install zone alarm on xp anyway.
As for RAM well I only have 2gb and my motherboard don't seem to like more than 2 Dims. So will just have to run it on 1gb or 512mb.

You probably need to increase the RAM voltage and/or controller voltages in the BIOS. This is a very common problem, when driving more sticks of RAM frequently you need more voltage to drive them.
Also many DDR2 sticks are ideally run at 2.1v, whereas the JDEC standard is 1.8v which most motherboards default to. So look on the RAM labels and see what they're rated for and select the appropriate voltage in the BIOS - your problem will most likely go away.
Incidentally ensure you have the latest BIOS firmware version too.
