Did you purchase windows 7 ? If yes, read on ....

[link to this post]

There is a good news for many of us who had purchase windows 7 to be installed into pc computer or laptop but wait, read here:

Did you know that microsoft only limit you to activated once on single machine but what happen if your hard disk is damaged or get virus strike and force to re-installed windows 7 online (but it normally rejected it because you had already activated it online once and force you to phone up microsoft to get your installation ID and validating your new installation to enter into your machine but realy annoying isn't it ?) well, not anymore....

Buy any new windows 7 version (retail only) and installing to your pc and get it activation online. When done, then you need this special tool called "Token Restore v2.2" and you just click backup and it will save into your folder as you will get three of it: your product key copy, your pkeyconfig copy and tokens.dat copy and you must save that into either cd disk or usb penflash and then in future if you ever need to formatted your hard disk or change new hard disk and you only need to installing windows 7 and don't enter any product key but you must match the same version eg: professional 64 bit from the first place you had backed up and when your new windows 7 professional 64 bit is done, you can open up token restore v2.2 program to run and then click restore to the folder where you first saved and wait until it completed. When it done, your windows 7 professional 64 bit had successfully activated (offline) without have to go online or phone up microsoft ever again.

This only work on any 32 or 64 bit retail version and must use on same machine (without any hardware change) the hard disk won't be affect by the hardware change.

Here is the tool for you: http://www.box.net/shared/l9je6tkinv

I had tested it on 32 bit, 64 bit and change new hard disk eg: 32gb into 1tb and change from 7200rpm hdd to SSD and it work 100%.

Please note: it won't work if you installed on different machine or hardware change or any OEM version. This only work for windows 7 retail only !!!

Now, where do I start?

What is the problem in phoning MS? Yes, it is a hassle, but who cares?

Okay, why should I click on a random URL which looks like an attack site?

How are we meant to reactivate if our hard drive has died or we have chaged any of our hardware?

You contradict yourself a few times in this post. Where did you get it from? It looks like a sales pitch to me...

why not use the disk backup feature in Windows 7 and store it on another hard drive then just import it onto the new drive

works ok here, i backed up my machine, and I reformatted the drive and restored just to make sure it worked before I stuck loads of stuff on it and it worked fine.

I like ghost myself, but it will not work on 64 bit windows 7

Adrian

Desktop machine now powered by windows 7 pro 64 bit, laptop by ubuntu
BTBroadbandanywhere type package, when it works.

Acronis for me too.

Once installed and activated; (done this with XP, Vista and now 7) I create an image which I burn to DVD and copy to an external HDD.

Any future "problems" that are a PITA, I start again from the saved image.

BTW In my experience, Microsoft; over the (free) telephone line; have never refused to activate again any OS version I have used; and that includes OEM versions.

If you explain that your HDD or your motherboard turned its toes up, they accept your explanation.

I have also have friends who have "reactivated" OEM versions over the phone this way.

The OP smells a bit '(ph)fishy' to me (pun intended) tongue
