Vista SP1 and SP2 upgrades

Despite SP2 saying "includes all previous updates" the exe file I have won't install SP2 unless SP1 has been installed first.

Is this standard, or is there an "all in one" updater I can download.

Hi Phil when it says "includes all previous updates" it means all updates released after SP1 this is the reason you have got to install SP1 first and you can just install SP2 hope this helps.

bit lame if you have to reinstall from an original vista CD, adds at least half an hour to the process frown

Yes i agree with you completely i remember having to install from fresh a few times and having to go threw it all it was a pain thats for sure

You could integrate the service packs into a new install CD using NLite then you would have a new install already at SP2, alot quicker than installing service packs if starting afresh.
