Potentially Stupid Question of the Year ! ! !

Is there a simple way to restore all the File associations in Windows XP SP2?

I have a customers PC who has had several trojans etc over the past months, these have been cleared and I need to reset all his file associations, but doing them one by one seems "the long way" is there a shorter way?
