Didn't know it was out, but thanks to you smile

Installed and running. Seems quicker than previous versions and I like the extra web real estate.

Running on OSX on my Air for the last few days - seems faster but that may be because non of my plugins work for it yet wink

I don't like that you cannot close the current window with either the left hand double click thingy or the right hand close box.

Sounds like exactly the kind of issue that the developers would like to have reported to them using their beta test issue reporting procedure.

i tried it, none of my plug-ins would work and it is still slow at starting up. They have lost the plot on the last couple of updates and I don't think they have got it back with 4.0, I know it is a beta, but it still must be pretty much there.

If I have to get used to a new look browser then I may as well change browsers. i did try Iron, which is a chrome clone, but it kept playing up, so I now gone for the new flock, which is also a chrome clone.

I had to reinstall Windows a few days back, hard drive started playing up, decided not to put firefox back on.

Agree with some of the plug ins not working, and it appears only themes designed for 4 will work on 4, but apart from that, I am still finding it blisteringly fast.

Just reinstalled it, it is no faster than chrome or my chrome clone.

Still takes ages to start up and 99% of my plug-ins don't work.
the problem is if Mozilla keeps changing the browser so that very few plug-ins work every time they do a major update, then these people who produce plug-ins and going to get fed up and produce for another browser.

i will have a play and see what it is like, but taking so long to start up is annoying. At least they got rid of the annoying bug where each tab in Firefox would give you a tab on the taskbar.

All my add ons work.

Have you tried this?

Overrides the settings, and you select if they work or not.

Start up time not a problem for me.
I leave mine in Sleep Mode most of the time.
When I do a fresh start, FF loads automatically.

Tried it before on the last beta, it did not work then. I just tried it on this beta, made no difference, oh well back to flock

Oh well, I still think they lost the plot, since they changed it so much, I thought I may as well try something else and to be honest I am starting to prefer it to Firefox.

Flock starts up much faster than Firefox, the web pages load lighting fast compared to firefox. the only problem is finding plug-ins that will do what I want, and I think I have that sorted now.

Mozilla have lost a long time user.
