So google decided to get silly and force linking youtube to an email account, funny enough it asked me to link my msn account to my youtube account (not gmail), I linked it and now youtube is broken in firefox. with this error.
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
Works in IE.
I am guessing currently its cookie related as google are using more and more cookies on weird domain names on youtube now.

I've had this issue too, but with other sites (mostly GMail)..
I just delete all the related cookies and it seems to sort itself out..

well I am not deleting all my cookies, as it caches my login to sites, I deleted youtube cookies and the site works albeit with me not logged in.
Have just googled the problem and there is many complaints with no fix.
This is a new problem tho in direct relation to the enforced linking of youtube and google accounts.

Wait for it to force a link to your Paypal account. Then you'll be charged for youtube usage, google searches etc.
Is it me, or is the linking of account 'X' to account 'Y' crazy? Why do they want a link anyway?

maybe if you accept all cookies in the first place.
I only accept first party session cookies by default and specifically allow anything else.
this has made youtube very hard to get working properly as it uses cookies from various 3rd party domains. One of the worst sites I have dealt with regarding cookies.
legitimate cookies serve a good purpose and is not good to keep deleting them.

well consider what I said.
by default I reject all 3rd party cookies.
I accept first party cookies but only session cookies so they deleted everytime I restart the browser.
the only permanent cookies I have, I have specifically allowed for sites like tbb.
this is youtube's problem not mine, I have simply stopped logging into youtube with ff. Most videos I now watch anonymously on there so they can now track me even less due to their new policy.
for what its worth a clean cookie FF doesnt fix the problem, I tested now with both a new profile in this FF (no cookies) and on another machine with a freshly installed FF.

No it isn't. I regularly delete my cookies.

since I access many sites which need usernames that is quite a bad thing, I also lose saved preferences in some instances as well.
reinputting usernames and passwords is a bad thing to me.
