Windows 7 homegroup issue

Hi. When i installed windows 7 about a year ago i had a issue where homegropups (i think) or something else would use a tiny amount of bandwidth on my pc 24/7. Sending or receiving packets every few seconds at 0.1k/s. I fixed it by disabling homegroups which i dont use and windows media player streaming. Accept since changing network settings and changing my router its restarted. I've disabled homegroups and windows media streaming service but its doing it.

Is there anything else that can cause it that i have forgot about?

What router are you currently using?

I fixed the problem with a TG585 v7 by disabling UPnP for a few minutes then re-enabling it, however the Win7 pc was set to WORKGROUP on the WLAN.

It seems to have stopped on its own after i went out for a while. very odd. I've just migrated to Sky LLU and i've been sent there D link based router.
