Desktop Icons Now all the same picture

For some strange reason all my Icons on the Desktop have changed to the same picture (a globe with arrow on it).

All that I did was copy an Icon from the Desktop to Quick Launch, also when I add a new Shortcut to the desktop the same picture appears for the new Icon.

Does anyone know why?

Try rebuilding the icon cache
