Open office failing to connect to update server

[link to this post]

Is anyone else having trouble connecting to update36.services.openoffice.org to update Openoffice, or is this normal? Or can you only update if the product is registered?

Same here. Trust Oracle to muck things up.

You can still download it from OpenOffice.org. That's all the update does.

Apparently they only run the update server for one day a week or so - it also means there are no updates available...
