Problem with Routerstats-Lite 7.8

I updated from 6.3 to 7.8 and now have a problem. I can launch 7.8, set it up and it runs OK. However when I shut down and restart my computer, routerstats doesn't start with Windows as 6.3 did. I have to set up from scratch again.

I uninstalled and cleaned the registry of all things Routerstats, rebooted but the problem remains. The only error message I get when launching is to do with being unable to create a .chm file.

Using Vista. Any suggestions appreciated.

Just a thought.
Where does it try to create the chm file.
If it is in the C: drive root directory that is blocked in Vista (it may even be blocked if it tries to create it in the Program Directory.)
One possibility is to modify the shortcut in the startup menu item to run as Administrator
