Would EpsonSX515W(32-bits) works in Win 7 64-bits Home??

I am about to replace my daughter's 2.5 years old Win7 32-bits Home HP laptop with an Acer Win7 64bits laptop on the strength of its much bigger 6GB RAMs and 640GB HHD. However I,m not quite sure whether this Epson SX515W printer, which performs quite well in my daughter's Win7 32-bits environment wirelessly, could continue to work well in this new Acer Win7 64-bits laptop too IF I brought it?? Such as through Microsoft's WOW64 Layers?? I have searched the Epson's site for an equivalent 64-bits driver or any positive comments without success. Can any one who has actually tried it successfully comment it please??

which appears to have the equivalent SX515W's Win 7 64bits driver
Anyone has used this, or would just setup as a wireless printer under Win 7 64bits may also solve my concerns??

If you install via disk, at the end it fails

Then download & install

Now go into epson in all programs and rerun the network setup

Now works a treat

I had this printer for 3 years. Sadly it broke and I've got another epson which isn't quite as good.

I've got the exact same setup.
Epson SX515w printer connected by ethernet to a O2 wireless box.
Works fine with all the PC's on the network including my sons Acer win7 (64) laptop.

Don't remember any difficulty installing the drivers for it on the 64 bit laptop. I'm guessing I used the drivers which come with win7 (64).

I am thinking of connecting Epson SX515W wirelessly to my router, and then let the other laptops/PCs access it through either Ethernet or wireless as well. It has been working O.K at the moment with 32-bits XP/Windows 7 installed. I hope that would be alright too if my daughter has replaced her Win 7 32-bits with 64-bits version in a few days time when the new laptop has arrived.

It should be fine. I have the SX515W connected wirelessly to my router with 32-bit XP and 64-bit Windows7 clients accessing it with no problem.

When you install the drivers on Windows7 you may get a warning about the drivers not being signed by MS (I can't remember for sure). It's been a while (18mths) since I installed the software but I've not had any problems printing / scanning to the device.

Thanks for the info. I specifically downloaded the SX515W Win 7 64-bits driver from the Epson Web Site, and everything went through smoothly as you described and my SX515W is now working O.K with my daughter's new Acer Win7 64bits laptop and my other 32bits PCs too.
