The problem mainly is when I am using BT Connect email and amd trying to open attachments and quite often I am unable to open the attachment. Sometimes if it is a Word doc it tries to save it as an HTML attachment even when I right click and ask to 'save target'
I am running the latest version of IE and have all the Windows updates (Vista). However if I use Google Chrome it doesn't seem to happen and I can open attachments. Any thoughts, it's not too serious as I can always use Chrome but it is a bit of a puzzle.
Not sure when it started, originally thought it was when my old Netgear packed in and Madasafish supplied a new router (Thomson). They have since supplied me with a new router (Technicolor). It doesn't happen all the time and not always with BT Connect, sometimes with Hotmail.

What email client on PC are you using? Or are you talking Webmail?

If latter you appear to be saving webpage not attachment.
