Export and Import .eml files

Is it possible to import .eml files from a Vista 32bit machine into a Win 8 64bit running Windows Mail from a Vista 64 bit machine?

The four options offered by the import wizard won't work.

Should be able to. .EML files are ordinary text files in the standard format for emails. They are independent of the mail client being used.

Just transfer them across and drop them in the folder where the Win8 ones are kept, e.g. Store Folder\Local Folders\Inbox. You can even drag them into the folders of WM itself when it it is running.

Many thanks. I was unsure and didn't want to screw Windows Mail on the new machine. The drag and drop did the job.
