skydrive problem

when I try to upload a folder full of photos to skydrive I get an error: " the file name is not valid". My system is win 8. If I have to upload photo files individually then the procedure is not worthwhile. .Perhaps somebody may have the answer.

I know that SkyDrive imposes limits on file sizes and filetypes but do they also impose limits on file name format.... No spaces, character length limits etc?
Have you tried to upload a single file to see if the error occurs then?
