IE 10 crashes on links

One problem I have had for a fair while is that IE 10 crashes when a link is clicked. Whilst it doesn't happen all the time, it does with a majority of the time.

Clicking on the same link again doesn't cause the problem - for a while at least... Any website can be affected.

I've cleared caches and reset IE to it's default settings to no avail. And deactivated all add-ons...

This started happening after one of Microsoft's lovely updates - unfortunately I don't know which one to remove...

Its an nVidia problem - although why it should be I don't know...

going back to IE9 and removing one update was necessary for me. Simply couldn't get IE10 to work properly.
