MS Office 2010 on Win 8 systems

Are there any compatibility issues with the older MS Office suite and Win 8? I need to upgrade Office for my first Win 8 systems but prefer to opt for software on DVD rather than depend on downloads, etc in there�s no conflict.

I installed office 2003 on a win8 laptop for a friend and it works fine as does the converter pack to be able to read the new style files.

When we bought the laptop the helpful man in PC world was trying to sell us a newer version of office and said that it would not work. As the only reasonable version in the store was I think the student version, did not include access and was still a little expensive (he is from Yorkshire) we thought we would give it a try. I know he uses Word and Excel quite extensively.

I'm still using Office XP so it's time for new software! I also use MS Word and Excel to the full and ned reliability.

Yes. They are vey helpful in PC World, aren't they? wink
