This version of MSO 2010 with Win 8/8.1

Will the Office 2010 kit below function properly with Win 8?

I need to upgrade two systems so it would be a boon but I can't afford to risk disaster!

EDIT: Since posting the above I realise I've asked the same question before...and not long ago. However, the exact version of MS Office 2010 I've linked to doesn't seem to be on the Windows site to which Phil (Yarwell) referred me.

Short answer? YES

Longer answer: I have exactly the same pack, using it on two machines running Win 8.1, main tower and laptop, with no issues.
My only query is the price - I paid <£100 at launch. I can only assume you're going for this due to the licencing Microsoft have introduced for 2013 (single machine only)?

Thanks for your detailed answer. The box reads for 3 PCs. Have MS pulled a fast one and restricted the licence to 1 system? I don't like the licencing or Office 2013 or the need to download the media.

Can't see why not. I'm still running Office Pro 95 & Word 2003 on Win 8.1. They fit all my needs .

They haven't restricted the licence after the fact, no; the pack you have purchased is still 3-PC I User or I would have had issues myself (I clean-installed when Win 8.1 was released).

I was referring to the licencing for Office 2013 Home & Student - Microsoft withdrew the 3-PC 1-User option for that version before launch. One of the reasons I didn't upgrade...
