OpenOffice 4.1.0 modified file and Windows 8.1 shutdown

Has anyone else had a problem whereby when shutting WIndows 8.1 down, and there is a modified (and unsaved) OpenOffice document, the latter doesn't always prevent the former from shutting down, and thus requiring a document file recovery when OpenOffice is started again ?

Occasionally you get the "OpenOffice is preventing a shutdown" which is correct, but most often you dont

Finally had the time to try and find out what was going on (and doing a re-installation of Windows 8.1 - unnecessary as it turns out, but that's all part of testing), and it turns out that the problem was caused by the USB Bluetooth Adaptors.

Disabling the software wasn't enough - the actual device had to be removed... This was tested on two different machines.

So, no more Bluetooth adaptors here now, which is a shame, but if it affects the machine operation then it can't stay...
