Remove APP in Win8.1

I know it is a silly question, but how do I remove an APP in Win8.1?

The APP appears to have corrupted itself & I want to clean it out!!

I've been into "Control Panel" & then gone into "Programs & Features", but its NOT listed there!!

Thanks, although it wasn't on the Start Page, but in the APPs !!

However, I think I may have bigger problems! I've discovered that NONE of my Apps appear to work!

They "flash" up but it then reverts to the Desktop with the APP apparently pinned to the Desktop Task-Bar - clicking on the pinned App just causes it to flash again!!

This time I have tried Googling & I've run the App-repair utility = but no change!

Run some additional Win Updates, run APPS-repair a few times & re-started a few times!

It now "appears" to have cleared the problem!!

I find my Apps being updated all the time by Windows Update, especially skype, as every time I start skype it seems to say "Welcome to the new version of Skype".

Also Windows Error reporting tends to report back to MS which apps are being troublesome eg not starting correctly or timing out, which can be tracked in the reliability graph or event viewer.
