Eventually got round to trying the Test Build in a VM and its seems quite snappy. Odd happening after resuming from a suspend I got several This PC icons on the desktop which disappeared after clicking on them.

Have already sent feedback asking for a smoother windows update experience and less reboots.

Shutdown issue has been fixed along with 7000 other tweaks. One noticeable thing is the windows now collapse in on themselves to the centre when closed. Still looking.

What I would like to see, is proper game program shutdown when it crashes (or can't handle ALT+TAB properly) - you go to right-click over the icon and select End Program, and.... nothing happens.

You cant use Task Manager unless it's set to be alway on top (otherwise you can shutdown the program there), because this window will be behind the game window (and ALT+TABbing may bring up the list of active windows, but all lead to blackness).

And does Explorer still crash/hang when trying to read a damaged CD ?

Microsoft aren't going to bother fixing that "bug" these days, with CDs being less and less used, in fact, they have almost stated their position on that and why they aren't going to fix it.

Trouble is VirtualBox really does not do it justice.. For dev testing and stuff however it is fine.

In that case swap CD with DVD or Blueray
