Relocate OneDrive under Win 10??

Does anyone know how to do this, please?

Having followed MS's advice, it doesn't appear to work!

I have a Tablet with only 20+GB as its C:\ Drive (it is based on a 32GB device but at least 8GB is allocated as a hidden "Recovery", that is no longer used on Win 10.

OneDrive is currently using over 2GB of my minuscule availability on C:\ Drive

MS advise that it can be relocated to an NTFS formatted SD Card, but following the Win 10 Instructions I simply keep getting the message:- "Your OneDrive Folder cannot be created in the location you have selected".

Needless to say, MS doesn't bother to explain why it will NOT create it there!

NB:- There is a Microsoft OneDrive Trouble-Shooter (for Win 10) but, when running it on Win 10, it declares that it is NOT for that Win version!

I have no idea if you have seen/tried this and if it works I'll give it a go on my tablet (just installed Windows 10 on 1 pc to find the bugs - settings issues)

Hi, Craig,

That is basically the method that I tried &, as some of the comments indicate in that link, I get a message saying that I can't use the SD-Card.

However, delving into the comments further, I see that there is some mention of "mounting" the SD Card as a directory within C:\ Drive & then using it as an indirect Storage.

I'll give that a try!

EDIT:-
Tried that & all it did was to "spread" my existing Libraries (i.e. Documents, Downloads, Pictures, etc) around - but they were the ones that I could already relocate! It is still NOT letting me relocate the OneDrive.

Seems to have been an issue for quite a while. No further update.

I don't know if you have tried this after unsyncing folders you don't normally need access to all the time Makes the move smaller

Hi John,

If you've not solved your issues you could always remove the recovery folder(move to external hard drive). Once you do this you can set all your libraries (video, music etc) to your sd card.

You can always make use of all the backup and recovery options in Windows 10
