Live Tiles not working after instal of Anniversary Update

Hi as the title says all live tiles do nothing now after the AU have tried the following all to no joy
updated to latest graphic drivers
run sfc / scannow command
unpinned /pinned/ changed size of tiles
Anything else to try to fix this problem please

There's various ways. http://aka.ms/winup is one. Another is to create new Windows 10 install media via the Media Creation Tool. A third is to wait for your machine to be offered the upgrade via Windows Update.

I found the downloadable upgrade tool much more hassle than the Windows Update version, since the tool asks a lot of the same questions as you get at first install (e.g. privacy settings).

I'd therefore recommend waiting for it to appear on Windows Update instead, which re-uses all existing settings without prompts.

Hmm, that's the method which asked me loads of questions. On another PC the Windows Update route asked no questions.

So, I'm not sure what the determining factor here is.

1 machine done, upon reboot after using the web update method I got white text on a cyan background which I couldnt read, maybe its because I am using a high contrast theme.

Edit: 2nd machine went ok no questions from media tool onto USB drive.

Update to this problem i noticed through msconfig that this comp. is on "selective startup" I could not get it to hold the "normal startup option so I wondered if this could be part of the problem ,so have rolled back to the previous build and all is well now all tiles are now working and am now on the "normal startup" option
Just thought I would pass on my experiences of windows 10 Anniversary Update
