A friend with a Windows 10 laptop has as his wallpaper a scene of a country road winding its way through hilly countryside. Lots of green grass either side of the road. It would be a great road to ride a motorbike on. Could be in Scotland, though could also be in a lot of other places.
I'm fairly sure he didn't download it but chose one of the supplied images.
I can't find such an image on either of my 2 Win 10 PCs, nor can I find it on the web.
I'm trying to find the picture and where it was taken.
I'm sure I found where, for example, a wallpaper photo of a ruined castle on a headland was shot, that one was in the UK, but I can't find a web site that'll give me the answer in either of these cases.
Edit: Just found the castle wallpaper was on Windows 7.

Not much of a road, is it?

It's enough for a bike

Nearest I can find in the official wallpapers is this: https://kbdevstorage1.blob.core.windows.net/asset-bl...
It's not really got the green grass you describe, but it would be a great road to ride on.

it would be a great road to ride on. ... but not to meet an agricultural vehicle coming in the other direction.

Thanks, but It's none of those folk have linked to, so far.
Next time I see him and his PC is running I'll get a screen grab and post a link to it.

or just do a google image search

Just to be clear - this is wallpaper (i.e. normal Windows background) as opposed to the lock screen? If so then I think it must be a custom image as it doesn't seem to correspond to any of the official Windows wallpapers. I'm not sure if there is any list of the lock screen images.

Just to be clear - this is wallpaper (i.e. normal Windows background) as opposed to the lock screen? Yes, it's just the Windows desktop background. I'm sure I've seen it elsewhere.
I need to have a browse through his system to see if I can find the file - C:\Windows\Web would seem a reasonable starting point, else somewhere down the <User>\Appdata\ tree.

Look for
%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\TranscodedWallpaper.jpg
You may have to use VLC to view it.

Nope. All we have is words: his wallpaper a scene of a country road winding its way through hilly countryside. Lots of green grass either side of the road. It would be a great road to ride a motorbike on.

Thanks, on my PC that is my desktop, though it doesn't have the .jpg filetype, changing a copy to .jpg shows it to be as expected. The file's properties don't have any detail of its origin though.
When I can I'll have a look on my friend's PC.

That makes sense, it's an Acer laptop!
Can't see that photo on any Acer wallpaper sites.
As an aside, I didn't know you could ask Google like that, but a quick Google told me about Google's Reverse Image capability, a few seconds later I also had the answer. Thank you.
Now to try to find out where that scene is....

We've driven past Mam Tor several times, but not on that particular stretch of road. Certainly it's an area for motorcyclists to ride.
