NO BRIEFCASE WIN 10

[link to this post]

Recently converted my Win7 to Win 10, everything running ok, except I had Briefcase on the desk top. This was converted to a Zip folder containing the .reg keys to install/remove briefcase.

The .reg keys do add the info to the registry, but no briefcase can be activated after a reboot.

I have searched the interweb, all I can find are the same two reg keys.

Is there anything else that I might have missed, or another option?

i have looked at some sites and it seems as if briefcase don't work in windows 10 later than version 1703, which I think is October 2017 edition.
I suppose Ms sees it as not being required since it is possible to sync using their one drive. i never used the briefcase, I do not like this auto synchronising of documents, I prefer to do it myself. i do not use one drive either.

TBH, i don't know of anyone who have even used it, i expect there are some. i mucked around with it once, many years ago and found it was more hassle than it was worth.

The problem is, companies want us to do everything online and they keep pushing and makes it more difficult not to it online.
